En route we miss a turning and a quick consensus leads us to explore the hinterlands of Casablanca to Marrakesh. Our nose takes us to an abandoned kasbah on a rocky outcrop, past market villages and it is here we feel we have gone back in time and come to the heart of Morocco. Donkeys loaded up with water tanks and gas bottles carry wrinkled, toothless men across barren harvested fields. We are grateful we missed that turning as the kasbah turns out to be a magical spot which we have all to ourselves and we finally get into recording some loops and video images overlooking the gorges below. Truly awesome.
