So....we pack the van, send the final round of contact emails and head out of Barcelona.

Stop in IKEA to buy a couple more things and run into some friends who are also studio van veterans who wish us luck and give us some last minute tips... head south on the winding road past Sitges, visit Ayesha's old house in the country to say hello to the dogs.

Decide to spend the first night in Siurana near Tarragona, a tiny cluster of houses which was once a Moorish enclave on a cliff ledge with stunning views over Priorat wine region. Obligatory wine tasting follows...
