Day 35 Tangers

On what was meant to be a kind of day-off wandering around Tangers shooting a few images and resources, we come across one of the most talented musicians of the trip - Abdelwahid Sanaaji, a professional musician who also works in his little tea-house LES FILES DE DETROIT which also is the local meeting place for of arabo-andalouse musicians, right in the heart of the medina 3 steps next to the Museum of Maroque Art.

Abdelwahid Sanaaji just started picking up instruments and playing them, including the Naye, Violin, percussion and Oud. Stunning stuff, especially the Naye, a type of sufi flute made of bamboo.

Thanks for this unexpected encounter!

The Teahouse:

Ciercle de Musique Arabo Andalouse,
Rue Ibn Abou no. 1
